Long before she became Lily Munster, Yvonne de Carlo made many, many RKO movies: in this one she played Linda Marlowe (the ‘Gal’ of the title). At the end of the movie she appeared in a very good Bud Westmore old-age makeup which utilised a one-piece face and neck prosthetic appliance: the makeup can be seen to much better effect in the b&w still than on screen (I missed the first few minutes so I’m not sure if the makeup was also seen at the beginning).
