This page features old-age makeups from various movies and TV shows of the 1980s.
Given the technology available, it’s surprising how effective some of these makeups are.
Scrooged (1988): a TV executive is shown one possible future for his ex-lover Claire Phillips (Karen Allen) where she has lost the caring nature which he belatedly realises he loved. The Burman Studio was responsible for the makeup: Bari Dreiband-Burman was the supervising makeup artist; Tom Burman was the special makeup effects artist. They were nominated for an Oscar for their work on this movie.
I Married Wyatt Earp (1983): Supposedly based on the memoirs of Josephine Marcus Earp (Marie Osmond), a young opera singer from San Francisco, who became the wife of the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp. Hallie Smith-Simmons was the makeup artist; Tom Cole was responsible for special makeup.
