Inga (Hanna Schygulla) the housekeeper may or may not have had a special understanding with Roman Strauss but her son certainly thought so. Only forty years later was the truth of the ensuing tragedy uncovered. Unfortunately, the aged Inga is only seen in one scene set in a darkened room.
