In the two-part season five opener ‘Dream a Little Dream of Me’ Dr Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Meredith have an argument and then Cristina falls on the slippery ice.

While she is being treated we see a dream sequence of an aged Cristina and Meredith.

The makeup

The old-age prosthetics for Sandra Oh were sculpted by Vincent Van Dyke and applied by Dave Dupuis.
