Harry Dean has the perfect plan to pull off a major robbery and just needs Nicole Chang (Shirley MacLaine) as his gambit and window-dressing. But nothing goes quite as planned – hey, this is a caper movie remember – and Nicole is just a tad moe independent than he’d envisaged.
This was Shirley MacLaine’s second Asian disguise makeup, having played a Western actress pretending to be a geisha in My Geisha a few years previously; she had also played an Indian princess – an unlikely casting decision – in Around The World in Eighty Days.
Bud Westmore was the makeup artist.
