In the episode ‘Thru Thick and Thin’ Michael, reacts badly to the weight gained by his wife, Janet: suddenly self conscious about her body image, Janet has a dream in which Michael and their three children are fat and fight over food. The eldest daughter Claire (Jennifer Freeman) not only has a fat face and fat suit but an exposed fat stomach.

The makeup

The makeup was by Kevin Haney and Steve Prouty and must have been an interesting challenge: four fat makeups from headcast to application in eight days with the one day of filming subject to the restricted working hours for children!
