In this terminal illness melodrama, Hope (Dana Delany) learns she suffers from Systemic Scleroderma. The TV movie follows her and her family through the stages of the illness.
Dana Delany said: ‘We spent about $100,000 on prosthetics . . . The final stage was full teeth, full makeup and the hairline receded.’ There were five separate makeups for the different stages of Hope’s transformation as the illness progressed: the final stage requiring a mamoth seven-hour makeup session. The prosthetics were designed by Tom and Bari Dreiband-Burman of Burman Studios: Todd McIntosh also worked on the makeup.
