Adam and Barbara (Geena Davis) love their beautiful New England house in New England. When they are killed in a car crash, they find themselves trapped as ghosts in their home. When the house is purchased by an out of state family, they attempt to scare them out but they are not very scary ghosts. When all else fails they call for help from people-exorciser Beetle Juice. At one point Barbara is silenced in manner that gives a whole new level of meaning to ‘Put a zip on it!’.
