Jessica (Amanda Holden) is a con-woman in this uneasily balanced TV movie. It was billed as a one-off but felt like a pilot to set up a series; it might even have worked if they’d decided whether to make a caper or thriller.
Jessica is a mistress of disguise but as is often the case one disguise (a South American woman with dark hair and skin) is shown in the setup, then Jessica goes blonde for the main con before becoming a redhead for the getaway: strangely, she never sees a need to alter her hair length. She briefly appears disguised as a middle-aged woman but only behind a misted car window and removing her wig in the middle distance.
