In the episode ‘Destiny’ three Cardassian scientists – Ulani, Dejar and Gilora (Tracy Scoggins) – arrive at Deep Space Nine to work on the first joint Bajoran/Cardassian cooperative mission: the installation of a communications relay outside the wormhole. Meanwhile the Emissary is told of an ancient prophecy: the usual stuff – impending disaster, three vipers, a burning temple.
It becomes clear that the Cardassian Obsidian Order has a hidden agenda and one of the scientists is an Obsidian Order agent.
