cat makeups: Sliders

The episode ‘This Slide of Paradise’ was a homage to (or rather a rip-off of) The Island of Dr Moreau: right down to guest starring Michael York. Among the exotic wildlife the Sliders encounter is the feline Allasandra (Melinda Clarke).

Bernd J Rantscheff was the makeup supervisor on the show which he described as a great five years because of the free hand he was given: I’m grateful to Bernd for the use the large image above. According to Bernd:

Mindy Clark was worried that she would look unattractive with a prosthetic makeup, but after she saw herself she really enjoyed it and did not mind the process at all.
