Actresses often claim with some justification that there are not enough roles for them and that the roles which are available are often stereotyped: I think Cybil Sheppard once referred to the options as girlfriend, mother, crone in her show.

Well some actresses have got round that. Mostly when actresses play men it’s as a disguise for their character within the film but every so often an actress gets to play a character who happens to be male.
