I think this was meant to be a comedy. Some trouble ensues when reading a spell-book brings back the witch Witch Winifred Sanderson (Bette Midler) and her sisters one Halloween. When she first returns she is aged then she restores her youth but the aged makeup is only seen in dim candle-light.
Kevin Haney and Lee Harman were Bette Midler’s makeup artists. Cheri Minns was key makeup artist on the movie with John M Elliott Jr as makeup artist: Tony Gardner was special makeup effects artist.
