Female artists seem to be strangly unrepresented in biopics – unless their lives have been truly outrageous.
As usual they have received (or is it suffered) the biopic treatment with varying degrees of accuracy in the depiction of both their lives and their appearance: with or without prosthetics or unibrows Hollywood tends to be prettier than real life.
