Opinion seems to be divided on whether or not Mother Teresa was a saint but she was certainly an icon. Whatever, despite Christopher Hitchens – ‘a fanatic, a fundamentalist, and a fraud’ – both the Pope and the movie industry seem to have decided to beatify her. So far there have been two biopics on her and she’s had a few cameos.
Mother Teresa: In the Name of God’s Poor: starred Geraldine Chaplin and ended with the Nobel prize ceremony. Anne Hieronymus was credited as makeup artist.
Teresa: with Olivia Hussey tells the story up to the end of her life. Kevin Haney was responsible for Olivia Hussey’s transformation.
