We remember the names and faces, if not always the deeds. But these people – from Florence Nightingale and Harriet Tubman through to Mother Teresa of Calcutta – made a difference; they worked wonders – with or without divine intervention.
But always remember that one person’s saint is another person’s heretic, posturing imposter, or misguided, or deluded ‘do-gooder’.
