At the climax of the Remington Steele episode Elementary Steele (2.22, 1984) Remington is aghast as Laura tackes Miss Marple (Pearl Shear): but of course Laura is right and Miss Marple is quickly unmasked to reveal the bitter and twisted Agnes Fowler (Libby Boone).
This is a good example of the classic mask trick switching between two actresses. This is the method that is almost always used in impersonation disguises as seen so often in Mission Impossible.
