Miranda Richardson as Queenie was certainly the funniest Queen Elizabeth ever seen either on TV or in the movies when she played her in Blackadder II (1986) and Blackadder’s Christmas Carol (1989). In 1999 she reprised the role in Blackadder Back & Forth.
Victoria (Vicky) Pocock was makeup designer for Blackadder II; Jan Sewell was makeup designer for Blackadder Back & Forth; I don’t know who was responsible for makeup on Blackadder’s Christmas Carol: if anyone can clarify, please email me.
