The Six Wives of Henry VIII

The Six Wives of Henry VIII is one of those classic mini-series of the 1970s from the BBC that now look sadly dated. Elvi Hale played Anne of Cleves.

As Anne of Cleves was aged twenty-four when she married Henry, Elvi Hale then aged thirty nine was – and looked – too old for this role. Still, in some ways this is my favourite Anne.
