Milady de Winter, often referred to as simply Milady, is the most memorable character in the novel The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas, père. Branded for theft from churches, she survived by seducing and then destroying rich men, including Athos, until she finds employment with Cardinal Richelieu as his spy, assassin, and messenger. She comes to a bad end.
