One year after the epic with Elizabeth Taylor the ‘Carry on’ team released Carry on Cleo with Amanda Barrie as Cleopatra. What can you say other than that it was a ‘Carry on’ movie recycling the same tired jokes: the best gag in the whole movie was Cleopatra’s bathing cap (taking the mick out of Elizabeth Taylor’s wig that looked remarkably like a swimming cap she had worn in a beach scene in Suddenly, Last Summer).
