The Mummy

In 1921 an archaeological expedition in Egypt discovers the mummy of the ancient Egyptian prince Im-Ho-Tep, who was condemned and buried alive for sacrilege. They also discover the Scroll of Thoth, which can bring the dead back to life, and – of course – one of has to read it out loud.

Ten years later, disguised as a modern Egyptian called Ardath Bay, the mummy attempts to reunite with his lost love, the princess Anck-es-en-Amon, who has been reincarnated into Helen Grosvenor (Zita Johann). Unfortunately, in order to bring back Anck-es-en-Amon Helen Grosvenor has to die and be revived as a living mummy
