Now this is wonderful TV – finally taking period drama out its prissy box and reinventing it: I love the characters, the dirty streets, the graffiti; the take on the titles for I, Claudius. The two leads are great but Servilia of the Junii (Lindsay Duncan) and Atia of the Julii (Polly walker) are real showstoppers. I hope the second series comes off – I can’t wait for their take on Livia.
