The Sun: race swap

In October 2005 journalists Anila Baig and Caroline Palmer briefly exchanged races for a feature on the burka in The Sun. Arguing against a ban was Sun columnist Anila Baig who took to the streets without her headscarf; Sun writer Caroline Palmer, who went out in a burka, wrote in favour of a ban in schools.

Caroline had previously donned a fat-suit and prosthetics to try being fat for a day for another Sun article: Stevie Bettles was responsible for that makeup too.

The makeup

Stevie Bettles was responsible for her makeup and I’m grateful to him for the use of some of these images.
