A modern-day re-interpretation of King Lear featuring Jessica Lange, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jennifer Jason Leigh must have seemed like a good idea: I mean what could go wrong? I guess the answer is you can still produce a lousy movie from a great premise and a brilliant case.
Rose Cook Lewis (Michelle Pfeiffer) has had breast cancer and is seen having her breast examined after a mastectomy. I have read that Rick Baker was responsible for the prosthetic makeup but I don’t have confirmation of this: if anyone can confirm or clarify the makeup credits, please email me.
