boob jobs: Kung Pow: Enter The Fist

Following his success with Jimmy Neutron, Steve Oedekerk bought the rights to a 1977, $20,000, Jimmy Wang Yu kung-fu film and blended in new footage he directed, created new characters, re-dubbed the old film with new comic dialogue, added in new fights and digitally placed himself inside the original film over Wang Yu’s body. The resulting wonderful spoof on martial arts movies follows the Chosen One as he seeks to avenge his parents’ death at the hands of an evil Master.

Along the way the Chosen one encounters the aptly-named femme fatale Whoa (Jennifer Tung) and a cow that is skilled in eagle claw kung-fu.

Jennifer recalled the experience in an interview:

Well, you see, my character has only one breast so when I showed up at the audition, I had a balloon stuffed down my shirt. I didn’t know if they were going to take me seriously and Steve looked at me saying he’d never seen anything like that and that it was very interesting. So in the film, they flattened me down, glued a prosthetic breast to me that jiggled. It was heavy, felt like real skin and was at least a C cup.

Andy Clement (Creative Character Engineering) was responsible for special prosthetic makeup effects.
