The develops bt Temptu and Tinsley Transfers have revolutionised the application of fake tattoos and made the creation of heavily-tattooed characters a far more realistic proposition for film-makers (eg Prison Break, Alpha Dog, Welcome To Collinwood). There was an interesting article, ‘Ink on Film’, on fake tattoos in the movies in Inked (Fall 2007).
